Arnaut Danjuma has joined Everton, which confirms what many thought about the boy, that he was keen to return to English Football, where he arguably enjoyed his most fruitful time on the pitch, playing for Bournemouth.

The Dutchman’s spell at Tottenham was clearly a time that he treasured and whilst it was short-lived, it was clear that Arnaut enjoyed the experience and found an immediate degree of affinity at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, especially with the supporters.

Talking with the Mail Online the affection received was very much well received.

A deal with Everton has been struck and remains to be seen if Danjuma falls into the increasingly large category of players that leave Spurs and go on to have success with other sides.

There may be obstacles for the 26-year-old to overcome, one is that this is his second bite at Goodison Park, as he was on the brink of joining the Toffees (it was suggested in places that he’d agreed to terms) and so Evertonians may well appreciate a quick goal on arrival, to let them know that he cares.

The second is, that whilst he has not cost Sean Dyche’s side £60 million, Richarlison was hugely well thought of in the northwest and there could be an element of ‘boots to fill’ in respect of the Brazilian having cast a long shadow.

Mid you, at this rate, with just 3 goals in all competitions, Richy the pigeon has hardly made himself invaluable to the north London side. Danjuma will need to improve in front of the goal himself, as 1 goal from 9 Premier League appearances isn’t good enough either.
