Everton are set to show significant interest in Iliman Ndiaye should Arnaut Danjuma depart the club this month, as reported by Alan Nixon. The journalist, via X, on January 14, indicated that the ex-Sheffield United striker, previously linked closely to Everton before joining Marseille, is being considered as a prominent replacement option if the on-loan winger departs.

During the winter transfer window, Danjuma seemed poised for a move to Ligue 1, with Lyon expressing robust interest and reportedly engaging in discussions with the Villarreal player. However, the process has hit a temporary halt due to a minor injury to Dwight McNeil.

Everton are currently limited to having only two loan signings in the matchday squad simultaneously, and Jack Harrison has assumed a crucial role since his loan transfer from Leeds United.

Iliman Ndiaye, who delivered an impressive performance with 14 goals and 11 assists for the Blades in the Championship last season, has experienced a less successful stint in France following his move, managing just one goal in 23 appearances across all competitions. L’Equipe reported on January 11 that Marseille might need to trim their wage bill this month.

Everton have pursued Ndiaye for a year, having a £20 million bid turned down last January while he was still with Sheffield United, per L’Equipe.
