Arnaut Danjuma scored his first Premier League goal for Tottenham but it came in a shock 3-2 loss against his former club Bournemouth.

Danjuma has received less than an hour of EPL game time since joining Spurs on loan from Villarreal in January.

But the 26-year-old was subbed on 58 minutes into Saturday's match shortly after Dominic Solanke had put Bournemouth 2-1 up.

Solanke had earlier assisted Matias Vina for Bournemouth's equalizer after Son Heung-min had given Spurs an early lead.

Danjuma replaced Davinson Sanchez, who had himself only been subbed on in the 35th minute, after an injury to Clement Lenglet.

Sanchez had been at fault for Solanke's goal and the Colombian was subsequently booed by a significant number of Spurs fans, who then cheered when he was hooked to make way for Danjuma.

Danjuma, who made 14 EPL appearances for Bournemouth in the 2019/20 season without scoring, drew Spurs level in the 88th minute with a fierce low strike from inside the penalty area.

The goal was the subject of a VAR check as it had whistled past Harry Kane in an offside position.

But it stood and Danjuma did not hold back with his celebration.

Spurs should have gone 3-2 up moments later but Richarlison missed a sitter with his head.

Then, with the home side pushing for a winner, Bournemouth landed a sucker punch in the fifth minute of added time.

Solanke provided his second assist of the game as Dango Ouattara beat Hugo Lloris with a calm finish to spark wild celebrations in the away end.

Bournemouth's win saw them move six points clear of the relegation zone, while Spurs missed the chance to go level on points with top-four rivals Newcastle and Manchester United.
