Stanford receiver Elijah Higgins accepts invite to 2023 Senior Bowl
USA TODAY Sports

Despite the team's struggles over the past few seasons, there has been extremely talented players coming out of Palo Alto.

Receiver Elijah Higgins will join teammates Michael Wilson and Kyu Blue Kelly at the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl, as it was announced on Twitter he had accepted an invitation.

Higgins is on pace to record a career high in catches this season, as he is just one more away from surpassing his previous high of 44. He also has a career high 558 receiving yards, and is averaging a career high 12.7 yards per catch.  He does just have one touchdown on the year, but Stanford's offense has thrown for one touchdown since Week 6.

Higgins is a freak of nature, standing in at a massive 6-foot-3 while weighing in 235 pounds, he also possesses some of the best top end speed in college football. He certainly will be a matchup nightmare at the next level, and I personally think he could be used in a Deebo Samuel capacity.

The Reese's Senior Bowl is considered to be the marquee college football all-star game, and the first stage of the NFL Draft process. According to their website last year's class "...produced a record-tying 106 total picks for the second straight year, representing 40 percent of the entire NFL draft, including 45 of the top 100 players selected."

Players such as Von Miller, Dak Prescott, Josh Allen, Terrell Owens, and Reggie Wayne among many other NFL stars have played in the Senior Bowl.

The game is set to take place February 4, 2023 at 1:30pm CT, and will be televised on NFL Network.
