Hunter Dickinson is trying to get Duke's Jeremy Roach to Kansas

The 2023-24 season was a disappointing one for Kansas, but that doesn't mean the Jayhawks are, all of a sudden, going to disappear out of sight out of mind.

Kansas is always a contender, and big man Hunter Dickinson is trying to make that even more so of a reality for next season with a little bit of not-so-subtle recruiting on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

It was announced that Duke senior guard Jeremy Roach is intending to hit the transfer portal. Dickinson, who played with Roach in EYBL ball before college, basically called "dibs" on his transfer.

If Roach does end up at Kansas, he'd go down as a pretty important pickup for the Jayhawks. Frankly, he'd be an important pickup anywhere considering his experience and talent.

He averaged 11.3 points the past four seasons at Duke, including a career-high of 14 points per game last season as a senior for the Blue Devils.

Roach has an extra year of eligibility because of the COVID-19 season and he also entered his name in the 2024 NBA Draft in order to keep his options open.

Speaking of options, his best bet may be staying in college, though, especially considering the potential NIL deals that could come his way.
